Enhancing Decision-Making Transparency through E-Participation
Synopsis
This article explores how e-participation platforms enhance transparency in public administration decision-making. With the ongoing digitalization of public institutions, these platforms enable citizens to participate actively in the decision-making process, from policy implementation to practical application. Consequently, citizens become engaged stakeholders, influencing how decisions are made at the administrative level. The research focuses on studying the main tools of citizen participation, assessing the level of digital engagement among citizens, and identifying the barriers encountered during implementation. Furthermore, the study analyses the concepts of decision-making transparency and e-participation. It evaluates the relationship between citizens’ digital participation in decision-making and the overall transparency of public institutions.
